Our philosophy
The Excellence Philosophy
Care begins with listening. Trust grows from what happens next.

Choosing a dentist is personal. You want to feel comfortable asking questions, understand your options, and know that your concerns matter.
At Excellence Dental, our philosophy starts with a simple belief: you should feel heard before you feel treated. These five principles describe the care we believe every patient deserves, from the first conversation through the years ahead.
Five principles behind your care
1. Listen before we treat.
Your experience matters. What brought you in, what worries you, and what you hope to achieve all belong in the conversation.
Whether you have a specific concern or feel unsure where to start, we begin by listening. You do not need to know the dental terms to explain what matters to you.
2. Explain before we recommend.
You deserve to understand the reasons behind your care. That means explaining what we find, why a treatment may help, and what the available options involve.
Questions about benefits, limitations, timing, and costs are welcome. Our role is to help you make an informed decision, with room to ask for a clearer explanation whenever you need one.
3. Make difficult moments easier.
A sudden dental problem, anxiety about a visit, or a complex treatment decision can feel overwhelming.
Our approach is to bring calm and clarity to the conversation: understand your concerns, explain what comes next, and work through decisions one step at a time. Tell us if something makes you nervous or if a past experience has made dental visits difficult.
4. Do what we say.
Trust depends on the everyday details. If we say we will call, we should call. If we agree on a next step, we should follow through.
Clear communication also means being honest when plans need to change, explaining why, and making sure you know what happens next. Keeping our word is part of caring for you.
5. Treat every patient like someone we want for life.
We want to build a relationship in which you feel comfortable returning, asking questions, and sharing concerns as your needs change.
That means keeping your long-term oral health and priorities in view. A question at the heart of our philosophy is: “Would this patient trust us with their family?”
What this looks like in practice
The Excellence New Patient Experience
Listen. Explain. Plan.
Your first visit is a chance for us to get to know you. We start with your concerns, health history, and goals, then explain the findings and discuss appropriate next steps.
The aim is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of your oral health and a plan you understand.
The Excellence Emergency Promise
Seen. Understood. Guided.
When a dental problem feels urgent, being taken seriously matters. Our promise centers on how we approach your care: listen to what happened, understand your concerns, and help you understand the next step.
Call the practice to discuss your concern and appointment availability. During an evaluation, we explain the findings and distinguish the immediate priorities from any further care that may be needed.
The Excellence Follow-Up
Care continues beyond the treatment chair.
Knowing what comes next is part of feeling cared for. After treatment, you should understand the relevant aftercare instructions, any recommended follow-up, and how to contact the practice with questions.
Our principle is simple: follow through on the next steps we agree on, and keep communication clear as your care continues.
